The Hope for African Children vision is a bid to light a candle in a continent generally perceived as dark. Africa is blessed with abundant human resosources that our combined effforts can salvage, develop, and deploy. Hope for the child is hope for the future.
The goal of the organization is to provide assistance to children 18 years and younger. The program will provide relief to the distressed, disabled and underprivileged throughout the world, and in particular, African counries, as well as provide spiritual assistance to those in need.
Our Programs Include:
1. Refuge of Hope - A Community Center to House:
- Children's health center
- Daycare center
- Outreach program for children
2. Family Food Basket:
- A child cannot be isolated from his / her immediate family. We believe a child's emotional wholeness derives primarily from family, food and security, and under this scheme we shall take off with hundreds of families.
3. Back to School (Smile if a Child):
- Through this we shall send hundreds of kids back to school, and every school session will put a SMILE on their faces. We shall acheive this by offering them new school uniforms, sandals, stationary, hair cuts, dental floss, and other basic needs. In addition, we will support scholarship awards and adopt school libraries to be equipped annually.
4. Save the Child Intervention:
- We will establish teams and organize task forces of health care providers to treat children who have fallen ill inthe event of natural disasters.
5. Annual Hope Rally
- Individuals will be educated on how to access charitable services to improve their lives.
6. Skills Acquisition & Ventures Empowerment (S.A.V.E.):
- This shall help to effect a long term measure for assisting families, which will be in the form of a vocational training center. The subject matter will include:
- Computer Training
- Music School & Studio
- Fashion Designing
- Hair Dressing
- Basic Business Studies
- Carpentry
- Cooking
- Poultry, Snail & Fish Fanning
- Soap and Cosmetics Manufacturing
- Communication Skills
- Moral Instruction
- Fundamental Math
- Bible Studies
- Principles of Mentoring
- The above programs will educate poor, distressed and disadvantaged people to develop skills so that they may improve their position and self-esteem.
